Hello,  I haven't been good at keeping up with this blog.  It is already November 2012 and I'm home in Arizona for good now.  I'm having a big black Friday sale after Thanksgiving and everyone is invited.  I am going  to Thailand in January, 2013 and need to restock the place so must move the things I have already.  I'm going to try to add a picture and see if I can still remember how it works here.

Well that was easy.Maybe I should write in this more often.

Summer 2011

Arizona was on fire when we got home this year in June 2011. When we evacuated our home, never fear, I frantically got my treasures for the Tasteful Traveler loaded into the cars. So many unique wonderful crafts this year from our travels to Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and The Philippines. I'll get pictures online as soon as I can. At this writing we are back home safely. You are invited to an open house on June 25, 2011 from 3:00-7:00+ where the TTT items will be available for browsing and buying along with some drinks and snacks. Hope to see you there. I'll just insert a chess set for now that I made this year while in Kuala Lumpur. I was inspired by the colorful flowers vs the huge green foliage.

Summer 2010

It was another busy year of teaching and shopping. This time in Malaysia. Here's some of the latest items from my collection.

Cinnamon bowls - They smell of cinnamon because they are made from the cinnamon tree. Several were broken in transport so some great deals on the broken ones which are repaired and look like new.

You can't go to Bali without buying some silver. The Gamelan bells are a hot items. I only bought a few but plan to go back next year and get more things. We are a 3 hour plane ride to
Bal Wood carvings - Another Bali specialty. I hand carried them home and got some strange looks from people wondering what I was carrying.
